Ed2.0Work - European network for the integration of Web2.0 in education and work

The main priority addressed by this Network is “European-wide stakeholders' communities promoting digital competence and other key transversal competences for life and employability, specifically the use of Web2.0 tools in education and work.” It addresses this in 2 ways:
•    by sharing knowledge, exchanging good practices and developing new partnerships in the use of Web2.0 in teaching and learning;
•    by developing future visions, foresight scenarios, and recommendations on the changed nature and added-value of Web2.0 for transforming education and training systems towards the needs of the future knowledge society.

The project will go further by acknowledging that the constant development of the Internet requires a systematic methodology to dynamically include new ideas, tools and paradigms as they develop into the future and how they can be applied as tools of work and education.

The Network objectives
The project will be directed at building a sustainable Network that will:

Build understanding
•    Systematic review of the literature to build an empirical template that can be used into the future to create benchmarks to assess the effectiveness of existing and new tools.
•    Identify and analyse the current and future needs of stakeholders in education and work and how Web2.0 tools can be utilised to support these needs.
•    Examine existing uses (education and work) and build a set of best practices and case studies that show how various Web2.0 tools could be used.
•    Establish and maintain a central repository containing relevant research, best practice guides and case studies, and training materials that can be used by teachers, researchers, decision-makers and educational bodies to make informed choices.
