Associate Professor
On May 10, Mariona Grané, member of the LMI, obtained the position of Associate Professor in the area of Audiovisual Communication in the Department of Library Science, Documentation and Audiovisual Communication of the Faculty of Information and Audiovisual Media at the University of Barcelona. Article in Journal of HC studies
Dra. Lucrezia Crescenzi (LMI-UVIC) and Dra. Mariona Grané (LMI-UB) have published the article "Touch gesture performed by children under 3 years old when drawing and coloring on a tablet" in the International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, where they analyze the interaction of young children with mobile devices (tablets).
PhD Defence
Laura Pons, a member of the research group LMI, defended her Ph.D. "School-based Conditions and Teacher Education for CLIL Implementation" on Wednesday, October the 31st. Laura defended the thesis in English to apply for the European certificate. The PhD Supervisor is the Main researcher of the research group, Dr. Elena Cano. The members of the committee were Dr. David Marsh, Dr. Teresa Lleixà and Dr. Josep Coral. Dra. Pons obtained the Excellent qualification.
JURE 2018 Conference
Laura Pons, member of the research group LMI (UB), attended JURE 2018 Conference for Junior Researchers organised by EARLI. The Conference took place in Antwerp from the 2nd to the 5th of July. Laura presented two papers: 1) An analysis of teachers' competences for CLIL teaching and Learning. When community becomes an agent of educational support: communicative research on Learning Communities in Catalonia.
El apoyo educativo es un componente clave de cualquier escuela inclusiva. Sin embargo, muchas formas tradicionales de apoyo han demostrado ser ineficaces e incluso excluyentes para los estudiantes vulnerables y sus familias. Este artículo presenta los resultados de un estudio realizado durante cuatro años por un diverso equipo investigador formado por profesores universitarios, estudiantes de doctorado, maestros y equipos directivos de escuelas que funcionan como comunidades de aprendizaje en Cataluña.
Kick off meeting of TKCOm
This January we have celebrated the Kick Off Meeting of european project TKCOM, Building up Chinese Teachers Key Competences through a Global Competence-Based Framework, in the University of Barcelona. The project is one of 37 selected for funding in the Region 6 - Asia, in Erasmus +, Capacity Building in Higher Education.
New R+D project
The LMI research group, participates in the project ESTRATEGIAS METODOLOGICAS PARA LA PERSONALIZACION DE ITINERARIOS DE APRENDIZAJE EN ENTORNOS ENRIQUECIDOS POR TECNOLOGIA, funded by the PROGRAMA ESTATAL DE INVESTIGACIÓN, DESARROLLO E INNOVACIÓN ORIENTADA A LOS RETOS DE LA SOCIEDAD (Ref. EDU2017-84223-R). With a length of 3 years, it is coordinated by the INSTITUTO DE INVESTIGACIÓN E INNOVACIÓN EDUCATIVA from the Universitat de Illes Balears, with the participation of the universities of Barcelona, Lleida, Murcia, Santiago de Chile y Autónoma de Baja California.
